Overview

Nigeria Logos is the definitive open-source repository for high-resolution vector logos of Nigerian organisations. I restructured the information architecture and interface components, turning a raw asset repository into a high-performance search engine. The end result drastically minimised Time-to-Asset for thousands of developers and designers across the continent.

The project brings together contributions from over 36 designers, with 100+ logos searchable by category.

The problem

The platform's original discovery flow was rigid, forcing users through multiple pages and subdirectories to find a specific brand logo. Designers and developers wasted critical time trying to preview asset transparency, distinguish between file formats, and source clean SVG paths for immediate development injection.

The solution: 2-click deliverables

I designed a unified, flat dashboard experience built around lightning-fast search and immediate utility.

  • Instant Filter & Categorisation: Built an intuitive global search with instant tag filtering, letting users isolate specific industries (e.g., Fintech, Telco) instantly.
  • The Utility-First Grid Card: Designed a modular card layout that acts as a standalone workstation. Directly from the main feed, users can toggle between SVG/PNG or change the card's background to preview logos against dark and light backdrops.
  • Zero-Download Dev Workflows: Added a one-click “Copy SVG Code” button to eliminate file management overhead entirely for front-end developers.
The impact
  • Reduced Friction: Decreased the steps required to find and download a logo from an average of five steps down to two.
  • Developer Optimisation: Eliminated asset download bloat by allowing inline SVG string copying directly from the homepage.
  • Community Validation: Successfully integrated with the community repository, delivering a clean, universally acclaimed utility standard for the local ecosystem. The project also inspired designers and developers in the Philippines to build their own version.
